The first plan: public goods for business
The official docs describe stage two like this. Once Mobick has a price, there is a blockchain network whose running costs the public bears. Give this mainnet’s public goods free, not for sale, to businesses that use it, and they solve two problems:
- Someone else’s chain — build on a chain like Ethereum and your success mostly raises that chain’s coin.
- Regulation — create and sell your own coin through an ICO or investment contract and it may be treated as a security.
With free public goods, a business holds the governance coin of a chain with no securities disputes and builds its service on top; Mobick gains real use.
The new plan: do it ourselves
The plan shifted twice:
- August 2025 — instead of handing public goods to companies, Oh would run enterprise-blockchain businesses such as education and games himself.
- 26 September 2026 — “Rather than wait for partners, Mobick will run businesses itself and return the value to the ecosystem.” The three pillars: mining, education and finance.
On 3 October Oh applied the same logic to the on-chain venture planned with a securities firm: instead of taking the idea to a big company, the ecosystem builds the market first, like a startup, and decides later whether to partner.
Pieces of the puzzle
| When | What |
|---|---|
| 2024 | Hanyang’s Bitcoin Monetary Philosophy programme opens (Oh as adjunct). Research and education agreements with institutions such as the Korean Society of Practical Medicine (per the docs) |
| July 2025 | Insurance Training Institute’s Crypto School (Oh as founding principal) |
| 6 April 2026 | Strategic partnership with New Frontier Labs, maker of the dollar stablecoin FYUSD and payment infrastructure |
| May 2026 → | Dubai-based RWA (real-world asset tokenization) and on-chain products |
| 29 August 2026 | Home-mining auction proceeds → overseas entities → tokenization and an on-chain platform |

New mainnet block #0
The new New Bedford rail was laid. The very next block, #1, carried the 19,687,503.125 BMB to be migrated.

New Bedford upgrade complete
235,230 addresses, 382,060 UTXOs and 3,879,641.131 BMB were verified one by one and moved. The old chain keeps running slowly as a safety net.

Home-mining plan announced
One unit per household, 2-Mo participants first, auctioned by lot — from 1,000 units to over 200,000.
-
The last line, and the two tracks
If Oh can no longer lead: go public at once, burn most public goods, airdrop part to lock-up, 2-Mo and 10-Mo participants. The PoW mainnet stays as the mined base; programs run on EVM via WBMB.

Three pillars: mining, education, finance
Why “a chain that doesn’t sell”
Oh repeatedly stresses that Mobick’s operator does not sell coins. So money earned from business is to buy back and burn coins and return value to the ecosystem as MOVN or USDT. As of October 2026 the foundation’s capital is about 3 billion won from lecture sales, with about 5 billion more planned from miner sales.
Summary
- Stage two: running real businesses on a chain that has value.
- First plan: free public goods for businesses. Now: Mobick runs businesses itself (mining, education, finance).
- Earnings go back to the ecosystem, and supply shrinks through burns.

Q1According to the docs, what is the problem with building on someone else’s chain?
The docs name two worries — enriching someone else’s chain, and the regulatory risk of selling your own coin as an investment contract. Receiving public goods for free avoids both; that was the original plan.
