Send and receive — address, network, confirmation

Sending Mobick is simple, but irreversible. Check three things before you send — is the address right, is the network right, and when has it really arrived?

Receiving: hand over your address

To receive, tap “Receive” in your wallet and share your address (or QR). Mobick addresses use Bitcoin’s bc1… or 1… formats. Sharing an address is safe, though anyone with it can see that address’s balance and history.

Three checks before sending

1. Is the address right?

Addresses contain a checksum: the last characters are computed from the rest, so a single wrong character is caught. Paste an address below; the “one typo” example shows the checksum catching a mistake.

A valid checksum does not prove it is the address the recipient meant; clipboard-swapping malware exists. After pasting, confirm the first and last four characters with the recipient.

2. Is the network right?

Mobick runs on two tracks. Mainnet BMB travels to bc1…/1… addresses; WBMB and MOVN on BSC travel to 0x… addresses. They are different chains and cannot be mixed.

  • To move BMB to BSC, swap BMB→WBMB in MobickOne (1:1, 0.01–200 per swap) and send to the BSC address.
  • The same 0x address exists on BSC and Base; make sure the sending app has BSC selected.
  • Gas differs by chain: BMB on the mainnet, BNB on BSC. Without a little BNB you cannot move BSC tokens.

3. When has it arrived?

Right after sending, the recipient may see it as pending — not yet in a block. Only in a block (1 confirmation) is it on the ledger, and each block above makes it harder to reverse. Mobick blocks average ten minutes; for large amounts, wait several. LBank credits deposits at two.

Received a paper wallet? Sweep it

Coins received on paper should be moved into an app: choose “import paper wallet,” scan the private key (WIF) or QR, and the whole balance moves to a new address of yours. Never reuse the swept paper. The paper-wallet lesson has more.

Summary

  • Receiving means sharing an address; checksums catch most typos.
  • Mainnet BMB (bc1/1) and BSC tokens (0x) are different roads; swap BMB→WBMB in MobickOne.
  • It is on the ledger only once in a block; wait for confirmations and test small first.

Get them right to add a block to your chain

  1. Q1You send mainnet BMB to a MetaMask 0x address. What happens?

  2. Q2You mistype one character of an address. What happens?
