Security and scams — suspicion is the cheapest insurance

The scams that keep circling Mobick fall into a few patterns: impersonation, “we’ll hold it for you,” fake airdrops, paper-wallet trading and wrong networks. Spot them yourself in real-style messages and learn the rules.

Five patterns

Blockchain transfers cannot be undone, so scammers target people, not code. Around Mobick five patterns repeat:

  1. Impersonation — pretending to be Oh Taemin, the operators or support. AI-made fake videos and look-alike channels are common.
  2. “We’ll hold it for you” — “leave your 2-Mo coins with us for extra interest,” “stake for monthly returns.” On 29 August 2026 Oh said every investment or staking pitch is a scam, and publicly collecting other people’s assets is itself illegal.
  3. Fake airdrops — a look-alike domain asks you to connect and “approve.” An approval is a signature granting permission to move your tokens.
  4. Paper-wallet trading — “a loaded paper wallet, cheap.” A previous holder may have seen the key.
  5. Wrong networks — sending mainnet BMB to a 0x address, or confusing Base with BSC. Not always a scam, but you still lose the money.

  1. “Oh Taemin official” chat room

We will manage your 2-Mo Miracle coins for you and pay an extra 2% interest every month.

The Miracles are not staking. Taking others’ coins to pay interest is illegal and a scam (live, 29 Aug 2026). Oh runs no private chat rooms.

  2. MobickOne support

A sync error was detected. Enter your 12-word recovery phrase in the form below and we will fix it.

Nobody — operators or support — ever asks for a recovery phrase. Whoever sees it owns the whole wallet.

  3. YouTube channel with a similar name

[URGENT] Oh Taemin AI briefing — buy WBMB now, 10× guaranteed by year end.

AI-generated impersonation videos are common. “Guaranteed” means scam. Check the channel address.

  4. Ad · btcmobick-airdrop.net

WBMB airdrop! Connect your wallet and press “Approve” to receive 0.5 WBMB.

Approving on a fake domain hands over permission to drain your tokens. The official site is mobick.io.

  5. Community P2P post

Selling a 2023 Hallasan paper wallet with 100 BMB, unscratched, below market.

Early paper wallets can be peeled and re-stuck. Treat any paper that changed hands as compromised.

  6. A friend

When you withdraw BMB from LBank, use my MetaMask address (0x…).

Mainnet BMB cannot go to a 0x address. To receive on BSC, swap to WBMB in MobickOne.

  7. Weekly Mobick News

MOVN–USDT and WBMB–MOVN pools are live on Uniswap.

A community news item. Still, match token contract addresses before swapping.

  8. mobick.io notice

The MOTE and LTM networks and services end on 31 October 2026.

An official notice. Swap MOTE → LTM → BMB before then.

Seven rules

If it happens

Transfers cannot be reversed, but you can stop further losses. If a key may have leaked, create a new wallet at once and move what is left. If you approved something strange in an EVM wallet, revoke the permission with an approval-revoke tool. Then tell the community so others are not caught; fraud prevention is one of the Mobick council’s jobs.

Summary

  • Scams target people: impersonation, “we’ll hold it,” fake airdrops, paper-wallet trades, wrong networks.
  • Keys and recovery phrases to no one; “guaranteed” and “interest for deposits” are scam words.
  • Check official channels only, and test with small amounts.

Impersonation and staking pitches are always scams

AI-made videos and channels impersonating Oh Taemin are spreading. Anyone asking for keys or recovery phrases, pitching staking or investment, or asking you to send coins somewhere is a scammer, without exception. The 2-Mo and 10-Mo events are not staking — you keep the coins in your own wallet.
