Asset tokenization — untangling rights so they can trade
An apartment bundles ownership, possession, collateral and use rights into one lump. Tokenization splits them so they can move on a blockchain. Try the core idea of Oh Taemin’s book on asset tokens, and see the tokenization business Mobick has in mind.
Rights in one tangled lump
Buying a home really means buying several rights at once: ownership (sell and bequeath), possession (live there), collateral (pledge it for a loan) and use (use it for a time). Registries and contracts tie them tightly, so trading just one, or proving you hold it, costs a lot of time and money.
Oh Taemin’s 2026 book on asset tokens calls this the cohesion of rights problem, and argues that asset tokenization solves it. Turn each right into a token, and moving the right becomes sending a token.

The book’s tagline — “an era when you shop for a Gangnam apartment with 100,000 won” — is this scene. Slice a large asset finely and a small sum buys a piece, cracking open markets once reserved for the very rich. The book calls it a change that “rewrites the grammar of money and cracks wealth monopolised by incumbents.”
Already happening
- Supply-chain finance — in February 2026 Oh cited tokenising trade invoices: sensitive details stay on a company’s private ledger while the fact “this was delivered” is proven as a token on a public chain to raise funds.
- Tokenised shares — in April 2026 he predicted Koreans would end up trading tokenised Samsung Electronics shares through US apps, whatever Korea blocks.
- Ethereum — his 2026 book on Ethereum argues most of this will happen on open platforms like Ethereum.
Mobick’s tokenization plan
In the 29 August 2026 home-mining stream Oh laid out an order of business: home-mining auction proceeds → overseas entities (BVI, Dubai) → buy real assets, split them into tokens and pair them with MOVN on Uniswap → having proven tokenization, build an on-chain trading platform. His example was buying one Berkshire Hathaway Class A share and tokenising it. He said he had obtained an interpretation that selling tokens to foreigners falls outside Korean regulators’ remit.
Summary
- Assets bundle many rights (cohesion of rights); tokenization splits them so they can move.
- Finely sliced, large assets become reachable with small sums.
- Supply-chain finance, tokenised shares and Ethereum tokens are already moving; Mobick plans tokenization via overseas entities.

Q1What chronic problem does the book say tokenization solves?
Assets like property and machinery bundle many rights, so trading part of them takes heavy administrative friction. The book argues tokenization dissolves that cohesion.
