Public goods — why the founder’s share is zero

About 15.9 million BMB — most of the supply — belongs to no one. Check the 16 public wallets live, then see what the coins have been used for, where they are headed, and what happens in the worst case.

A map of 21 million

Mobick’s maximum supply is 21 million BMB, like Bitcoin. Of the 19,885,668.75 issued so far, most is designated public goods — owned by no individual and kept for the ecosystem’s long-term growth and operation.

Below is the picture right now: the balances of the 16 public-goods wallets fetched from the explorer and added up. Each drawer is one wallet; tap it to open the address in the explorer.

FIG. 1Public-goods vault. Balances of the 16 published wallets summed live from explorer.mobick.info.
  • Fifteen wallets hold exactly 1,000,000 BMB each.
  • The sixteenth is the active wallet; it holds the remainder and receives every new 3.125 BMB block reward.
  • The docs state that the founder holds no personal tokens and has never sold for private gain — hence the “founder’s share” mark at zero.

Why zero?

The docs explain that by holding no personal coins and publishing most of the supply as public goods, the founder gave up the discretion of a big holder. If the largest holder can sell at will, everyone shakes when they decide to. On 3 October 2026 Oh said this was the core principle from his first design in 2015: the operator does not sell.

What public goods have paid for

  • Airdrops — the 2023 tour, 2-Mo Miracle rewards and Crypto Circuit completion rewards come from public goods. On 12 April 2026 Oh said airdrops must continue to grow the ecosystem.
  • Todak-Todak — since 2024, one BMB for every newborn.
  • Enterprise and institutions — the original plan: give public goods, free, to businesses building on the Mobick mainnet. They get a chain’s governance coin without securities disputes; Mobick gets real use. Since August 2025 the emphasis shifted to Oh running enterprise-blockchain businesses (education, games) himself.

Shrinking, not spending

The recent direction is to reduce circulating supply gradually rather than release public goods. In December 2025 Oh said Otaverse’s income would buy back and burn BMB; on 29 August 2026 he described using business proceeds to buy back BMB, starting with those who bought highest, and burning it. On 3 October 2026 he explained that MOVN airdrops are not minted from nothing but match USDT actually secured.

The worst case: the last line

On 19 September 2026, Oh set out what happens if he can no longer lead the project.

Public goods left in one person’s hands become a seed of conflict when that person is gone; the last line removes the seed in advance. The governance docs likewise give the Public Asset Oversight Committee authority to execute distribution and burning of public assets in the founder’s absence.

Summary

  • Most of the supply (about 15.9M BMB) is public goods in 16 published wallets; the founder’s share is zero.
  • Anyone can verify the balances; new block rewards land in the 16th wallet.
  • Public goods have funded airdrops, Todak-Todak and enterprise plans; the trend now is burning to reduce supply.
  • If the founder is gone: public at once, most public goods burned, part to the most committed.

Going public — no date has been set

Mobick is currently a private chain whose mining is run by the operators. Going public — a chain anyone can mine — is the stated direction, but there is no date. The latest live stream said going public may wait longer if home mining revives the ecosystem, and set out a "last line of defence": if Oh Taemin can no longer lead, the chain goes public at once and most public-goods coins are burned.

D 2026.09.19 Going public is inevitable, but may be delayed if mining revives the ecosystem. If Oh can no longer lead: nodes open at once, most of the ~16M public-goods coins are burned, and part is airdropped to Australia lock-up, Miracle of 2 Mo and Miracle of 10 Mo participants. C 2026.08.20 In a members-only stream, described as 'a line of thought, nothing decided': going public makes sense at a 1.5625 BMB block reward (the natural halving is in 2030), and because the chain is private the halving could be brought forward — perhaps around June 2028.
